Food Pairing 101: What goes well with “All The Things You Say Are Wrong” by Bloods?
Bloods are a back to basics Australian garage punk band that has just passed the one year mark in their existence. Their music is scuzzy, fast and fun sort of like that relationship that starts in a back alley behind the club and ends an hour later. Of course waking up the next morning and finding yourself beside “All the Things You Say Are Wrong” is much more pleasant than some stories I’ve heard. It is anthemic, adrenal pulsing, rock and roll. This track is best paired with something equally as dirty…something like the Chubby Vegetarian’s Dirty Rice and Mushroom Scallops topped with Creole Coconut Sauce. When I made these, everything went wrong. Ingredients were missing in action, rice cookers were missing pieces, rice cookers were used in the first place when they shouldn’t have been and yet the end result was oh so right.
