Creamy Green Chowder Healed by Project Blvd.

I alluded to it briefly here but the full story goes something like this:

I woke up on Monday having not remembered the past few days. I tried to clear my groggy head with a cup of tea but that only served to bring a few still frames to light (think the credits of the Hangover). There was a picture of me smiling behind a gigantic loaf of pizza bread, inhaling a plate of vermicelli pilaf, gouging on pizza and one of me and J-Fur eating a spaghetti pancake from opposite sides (Lady and the Tramp style). My stomach was swollen, my burps were weird, my…well, you get the picture. I finally knew what a gluten hangover felt like.

I needed something clean and green and I needed it fast. Thank goodness I had a large pot and some spinach, leeks, green beans, brussels sprouts and peas at my fingertips. I dragged myself over to the stove, gingerly stood up and threw it all into the pot along with some vegetable stock, soy milk, lemon juice, onions, thyme and garlic. In 30 minutes my vital signs returned to normal. It was an hour later when all the horrible images from my “lost weekend” came back to me. Let’s just say when Project Blvd sings “if I’m an a**hole, then you can kiss his anus” they’ve got nothing on my weekend.
